Given the table with values for A and r, answer the folowing:
r 2 3 4 5
A 12.57 11.31 50.28 78.56
a. What equation represtnts the relationship of the values in the table above?
b. Find the constant of variation.
c. If r = 8, what would be A?

nope. we are learning about variations. i think with this problem, it involves direct square variation. but the problem is, i get a different answer when r=3 and A=11.31 from the rest. is that possible?

A direct square variation is a quadratic
Given any 3 points , I can find that quadratic, but we can't "force" a fourth point on it.
e.g
A = 20.115r^2 - 101.835r + 135.78
produces the first 3 points , but not the last one

the formula h=-16t^2 48t 160 given the height of an object thrown from a building 160 feet high with an initial speed of 48 ft/sec where t is measured in seconds find the time for the object to hit the ground and find the maximum height of the object
