If I'm not incorrect I heard my professor in general chemistry mention this.
the altitude and pressure cause the boiling point to lower/increase
1. boiling point lowered
(at higher altitude pressure is lower)
the solution for this (for example if you go on a mountain, the pressure is lower than what is on the sea level and thus to cook something you have to use pressure cooker to get something to actually boil at what water should boil if you are boiling water)
