After a rock layer is eroded, which additional event must occur to create an unconformity, or a gap in the geologic record?

a. an earthquake or motion along a fault.
b. new deposits of sediment must build up on the eroded area.
c. folding of sedimentary rock layers.
d. a volcanic eruption.

Is this C? My lesson gives a definition for unconformity as "a rock or sediment surface separating two layers of different ages."

No, shame on YOU! This site is for tutors to help children, or children to help children. It is not for some "ooh, look at me, I want to be perfect and show these poor kids how perfect I am! oh kids, stop cheating because I want to be a know-it-all and show you how wrong you are!" Well, this is the REAL WORLD, people, so get used to it! I think we need to have a 3 strikes you're out system here because you people are spamming. In particular, Ms. Bechter, gerd dermert lerf, and hey!.

This actually helps a lot, it's not that we don't study but really the school doesn't always provide enough information and if they do it's difficult to find. I knew most of the questions on the test, but some I had no clue how to answer.

Answered by Ms.lauren Bradly
why are cheating
Answered by Genny
I don't think there is necessarily a problem with cheating on this site, because once answers are explained, and people are told why that answer is correct, it's really just the same as if you were to ask your teacher or learning coach for help with a problem. I AM against people who just drop the answer, though.
Answered by A student
Its ok for people to help others. You shouldn't be like " THIS IS THE ANSWER."
If their not doing that, then it isn't cheating. NOW THE DIFFERENCE.
