sorry here is the whole question
a1plumbing service charges $35 Per hour Plus A $25 travel Charge for a Service call.Good Guys Plumbing repair charges $4O Per hour for a Service call with no travel charge.How long Must a service call be for the two companies to Charge the same amount?

a1 plumbing: cost = 35h + 25 , where h is the number of hours
Good guys : cost = 40h

so you want,

40h = 35h + 25
5h = 25
h = 5

at 5 hours the costs are the same

test it by subbing h = 5 into both of my equations
