I got 1.5 is this correct? If not could you please show me how to do this?

From the way you have it written, I am assuming that the divisor is only for the second term (3/5).
(1/2)+3/5 /[9/10-(-3/5)] =
A minus times a minus = a plus.
(1/2)+3/5 /[9/10+3/5)] =
To make it easier, convert to decimals and combine the two denominator terms.
.5 + .6/(.9+.6) = .5 + .6/1.5 =
.5 + .4 = .9
