the answer is 1/27, how did they get that? i need step by step to understand

If you divide one power with the same base by another power of the same base,
keep the base and subtract the exponents, so ....

3^(-5) / 3^(-2)
= 3^(-5+2)
= 3^-3
= 1/3^3
= 1/27
