13feet ladder is placed 5feet away from the wall . the distance from the ground straight up to the top of the mall is 13 feet. will the ladder touch the top of the mall?

The ladder, ground, and wall form a right angled triangle. Use the Pythagorean Theorem.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

5^2 + b^2 = 13^2

25 + b^2 = 169

Take it from there.
