Are these endothermic or exothermic?
A) cracking large hydrocarbon molecules
B) digesting a candy bar

I don't get these. Could someone help me and explain why they are endo or exothermic?

a. breaking large hydrocarbon molecules is definitely endothermic, usually the heat is supplied from a superheated catalyst.
b. digesting a candy bar? exothermic. ATP is given off in cell processes (Krebs cycle and electron transport cycle).
