The air we breathe in is very important, it keeps us alive. But we are hurting the environment and making it hard to breath in “healthy air”. How? Well, by using transportation that contains gas, substances may leak and send harmful chemicals and gases into the air. How can we stop it? Easy you just need to learn how to take care of the environment. Here are some easy tips to improve the environment.
Grow trees and plants they are helpful in providing good air for us to breathe. Save electricity, not only does it help the environment it also helps reduce your electric bills. Carpool, it helps the environment by less cars on the road which in terms mean better air quality. Recycle it reduces air pollution, and saves money. Don’t smoke by smoking you release many chemicals in the air “Approximately 4000 chemicals are present in cigarettes, … [and] released in the atmosphere.”
Simple tips like these can help us improve our environment but it'll take more that. Some other ways to reduce air pollution would be to ride bikes or walk to and from work/school. Use Wind, solar and geothermal energy. You can also turn off the car engine when not in use for example if your in traffic it would be best for the economy if the engine is turned off so no substances can go to the air.

Bikes don't give off any gases to pollute the air. Many people ride their bikes to work and on errands instead of driving their cars.

Houston Bikeway Program: is a program that offers over "300 miles of interconnected bikeway networks," which includes bike lanes, hike-and-bike trails, and so much more. The city of Houston uses bikes as a major part of their transportation. This program is not only helping the environment by "reducing carbon footprint, and traffic congestion" but it is also helping people to be healthier. this project is similar to mine because i want more people to use bikes rather than cars. since Bikes don't give off any gases to pollute the air, Many people ride their bikes to work and on errands instead of driving their cars and that's what i want to contribute in my community so more people will try it out.
