Here in a big cave, King Aeolus controlled the struggling winds and the loud storms, and he reigned in chains and in prison, with power. There, indignantly, with the great mururing of the mountains, they raged round the doors: Aeolus sat in the high ark holding his sceptre, and softened their minds and commanded their anger. Unless he does it, seizing they bring with them assuredly the seas and the lands and the limitless sky, and they sweep through the breeze. But the almighty father fearing this, concealed them in a dark tomb, and he placed the mass and the high mountains on top, and he gave the king who knew by a certain covenant...
