Role-playing Refusal Skills
(The following are the directions.)
"Imagine that you have a couple of friends over to play video games. Your parents went out to dinner so you have the house to yourselves. One friends finds beer in the refrigeration. She suggests that you and your friends drink it. You know your parents will notice if the beer is gone."
1). Reread the list of refusal skills in Table 2. (This list includes refusal skills such as blaming someone else, giving a reason, ignoring the request of the pressure, leaving the situation, saying "no, thanks," saying no and meaning it, keep saying no, making a joke out of it, making an excuse, suggesting something else to do, changing the subject, and teaming up with someone.)
2). Apply each one of the refusal skills to the situation described above, and role-play each skill with a classmate.
(The following are the actual questions.)
3). Describe which refusal skill was the most effective.
A: Suggesting something else to do was the most effective refusal skill as, while other refusal skills either resulted in your friends drinking the alcohol and replacing it or as being seen as the enemy, this refusal skill draws your friends' attention elsewhere?
4). Write a description of the results.
(I am uncertain of what exactly it is asking me to write. Does it mean the same as the question above?)

Your answers are good.
4. What happened when you role-played this scenario with your classmate?

4. By suggesting something else to occupy ourselves with, such as to play a recently purchased video game, the results were that my friends' attention was drawn away from this absurd suggestion and that I was able to prevent them from making wrong decisions?

IS it correct?

No, the question is asking you to describe the outcome or consequences of using the different refusal skills in the situation described.
To answer question 4, you need to write a description of what happened when you applied each of the different refusal skills to the situation with your friends and the beer. You should explain the results or impact of each refusal skill used. For example, you could describe whether your friends accepted your refusal and moved on to do something else, or if they persisted in pressuring you to drink the beer.
You can provide details on how each refusal skill played out in the role-play scenario. Mention how your friends reacted and whether they respected your decision, or if they tried to persuade you further. Additionally, you can explain the overall outcome of each refusal skill and how it affected the dynamics of the situation.
Remember to be specific and provide examples to support your description of the results for each refusal skill used.
