Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. With this kind of exercise (where you see the answer but must come up with the question) this works well.
1. Look at the Spanish answer. 2. Translate it into English. 3. Ask the question FIRST in English to see if you get that answer, and if so, now 4. Ask the question in Spanish.
1. El primer presidente de los (spelling) Estados Unidos. 2. The first president of the U.S.A. 3. Who was the first president of the U.S.A.? 4. ¿Quién fue el primer presidente de los Estados Unidos? (of course there is another choice: ¿Quién fue Jorge Washington?
Now, you try numbers 7, 14, 15, 18, 19 to see if you have the pattern/idea. Then post those and we'll be glad to proofread them for you.
Things to remember about questions. All interrogative words (question words) have an accent mark: Quién, Qué, Por qué, Cómo, Dónde, etc. All questions beging with "¿" and end with "?" In a question, the subject follows the verb.
Statement: Juan estudia el libro.
Question : ¿Qué estudia Juan?
