    So they gave you two points
(-5, 0) and (0,-2)
so the slope = (-2-0)/(0+5) = -2/5
so in slope-yintercept form the equation is
y = (-2/5)x - 2
    
(-5, 0) and (0,-2)
so the slope = (-2-0)/(0+5) = -2/5
so in slope-yintercept form the equation is
y = (-2/5)x - 2
