A grocery store has a gallon of milk for $2.30. They also have a 4 litter container of milk for $2.30. Which is the better buy and why?
Please somebody help me with this question?
So far I did
Gallon 1 = x
liter 3.79 4
4 = 3.79x cross out
divide 3.79 3.79
x=1.055 gallon

I'm not sure of your numbers, but since 1 gallon equals 3.785 (3.794?) liters, then the 4 liter container is the better buy. You'll get almost a quarter liter more for the same price.
