-[2x-(5x+2)]=2+(2x+7)
3x + 2 = 9 + 2x
3x - 2x = 9 - 2
x = 7
Check:
-14 + 35 + 2 = 9 + 14
23 = 23
3x + 2 = 9 + 2x
3x - 2x = 9 - 2
x = 7
Check:
-14 + 35 + 2 = 9 + 14
23 = 23

work the inner brackets first
-[2x-(5x+2)]=2+(2x+7)
-2[2x - 5x -2] = 2 + 2x + 7
-2[-3x - 2] = 9 + 2x
6x + 4 = 9 + 2x
6x - 2x = 9 - 4
4x = 5
x = 5/4
-[2x-(5x+2)]=2+(2x+7)
-2[2x - 5x -2] = 2 + 2x + 7
-2[-3x - 2] = 9 + 2x
6x + 4 = 9 + 2x
6x - 2x = 9 - 4
4x = 5
x = 5/4
