you went "the wrong way"
you should know that the nearest perfect squares to 242 are 256 and 225
that is,
√256 = 16 and √225 = 15
so √242 is between 15 and 16 , being closer to 16
since you were supposed to round to the nearest integer
√242 = appr 16
(you obviously used your calculator and actually squared 242 to get 58584. The whole point of "estimating" is NOT to use a calculator. Besides squaring instead of taking the square root, I would call that two strikes against you)
