1. Convert 2 and 3/4 qts to pints.
1 qt = 2 pints (unit ratio = 2/1)
2 and 3/4 x 2/1
= 9/4 x 2/1
= 22/4
= 5 and 1/2 pints
2. A 40-foot power boat is for sale. How long is the boat to the nearest yard?
1 ft = 3yds (unit ratio = 1/3)

3ft = 1yd (unit ratio 1yd/3ft)
18ft x 1yd/3ft
= 18/3 yd

= 2mi X 5280ft/1mi
= 10,560ft
4. Convert 5000lb to tons
1 T = 2000lbs (unit ratio 1T/2000lbs)
= 5000lb x 1T/2000lb
= 5/2 = 2 and 1/2 Tons

1 lb = 16oz (unit ratio 16oz/1lb)
3lbs x 16oz/1lb = 48 oz
= 48oz/10 pork chops
= 4.8oz/pork chop
