The perimeter (distance around) of a triangle is 7/x+1, The sum of two sides of the triangle is 3/x, the distance of the remaining side follows he format ax+b/x^2+x. what is the vale of a?

The 3rd side is
7/(x+1) - 3/x
= (7x-3(x+1))/(x^2+x)
= (4x-3)/(x^2+x)
