What is the fomula to find the volume of a hexagonal pyramid?

The volume of any "pyramid" is
1/3(base)(height)

The base of a hexagon is made up of 6 equal equilateral triangles.
If you know the side of the hexagon that is easy to calculate.

BTW, if the side of the hexagon is 'a'
then each triangle has area (√3/4)(a^2)
