Can someone help me with parts of speech?
Huxley himself came from a long line of intellectuals. His grandfather Thomas Huxley, a follower of Charles Darwin, was a rather famous lecturer and essayist. His great-uncle Matthew Arnold was a great English poet and critic. His brother Julian was a popular science writer, and his half-brother Andrew won the Noble Prize for physiology in 1963, the same year that Huxley died.
The words in question are:
himself-personal pronoun
long-adjective
intellectuals-verb
was-action verb
rather-adverb
great-pronoun
won-action verb
for-conjunction
physiology-interjection
same-pronoun

These are wrong:
intellectuals-verb
was-action verb
great-pronoun
for-conjunction
physiology-interjection
same-pronoun
The others are right.
I suggest you look these words up in a dictionary. Along with definitions, dictionaries give the part(s) of speech and how the word is used.
