In general, the country with the most natural resources is economically better off than other countries. However, that is not true of Israel and Japan, for instance. They have few natural resources, but are considered rich nations. They have used their human labor and ingenuity to buy raw materials and manufacture products to sell as exports. Some countries have abundant natural resources but have not managed them well and so are economically poor.
