What is the difference between coniferous and deciduous trees?

My answer: The difference between these types of trees is that coniferous trees are cone bearing trees which possess needle-like leaves, whereas deciduous trees are broadleaf trees which stay green all year in a tropical rain forest region but shed their leaves at least once during the year in a deciduous region.
