What is the simplified expression for this: Area of a triangle with the base 1/2y and the height 2/5y+4

area=1/2 * y *( 2/5 * y + 4)

= y^2/5 + 2y

Area of Triangle = (1/2) x base x height

A = (1/2)(y/2)(2y/5+4)
rearrange
A = (1/10)y^2 + y

That is, assuming that 1/2y means (1/2)y rather than 1/(2y).
