Question..where to start..If you had 250.0 g of copper (specific heat = 0.385), what temperature could you raise it to (starting from 20 degrees C) if you heated it with 1685 Joules of energy? If I use the formula q=MxCsX^T, How do I find ^T if I do not have a Tf, assuming 20.0 is Ti? Thank you!

I don't understand your problem. Plug in the numbers and solve for Tf.
1685 = 250 x 0.385 x (Tf-20)
1685 = 250 x 0.385 x (Tf-20)
