The sheet is titled Solving Inequalities. I need to solve this question by equivalent equations and show my steps.

So, how do I solve 6x<12?
Would I divide both sides by 6 meaning x would = 2? or??

5 answers

yes! and dividing by 6 would make sense because it would read x<2 or x is less than 2.
Is there a spot online that would show how to show this on a line graph that shows -5 - 4 - 3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 4 ?
Not that I can think of...I think I remember using a line graph where you circle the number (2 in the last case) and since it is not equal to x, you don't darken it in, then draw a line that extends to all numbers less than 2. x is somewhere in there.
Do I include the negative numbers?
Yes. Draw a line from -5 to 5 and fill it out from there.
