Carlos has the slow to go hiccups. When they started, he hiccuped after 1 minute had elpased, then again after 2 minutes, again after 4 minutes, next after 8 minutes, and so on. How many total hiccups did he hiccup in the month of April if they began 12 midnight, april 1st?

April has 30 days with 24 hours in each day and 60 minutes in each hour. Use this to get the total minutes.

The interval is doubling, so it very quickly gets into large numbers

1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, ecteras.

Count one hiccup for each doubling until you get to the total minutes.
