How would I figure out another rectangle equation? The length of a rectangle is 4 meters less than 3 times the width. The perimeter is 24 meters. Find the width.

P = 2 l + 2w

L = 3w-4

24 = 2(3w-4) + 2w

24 = 6w -8 + 2w

24 = 8w -8

24 + 8 = 8w-8 +8

32 = 8w

8w/8 = 32/8

w = 4
