Work with the "weighted mean".
For each pound,
cost of meat powder = 0.4*1.20 = 0.48
cost of grain = 0.6*0.80 = 0.48
Total cost per pound = 0.48+0.48 = $0.96
For each pound,
cost of meat powder = 0.4*1.20 = 0.48
cost of grain = 0.6*0.80 = 0.48
Total cost per pound = 0.48+0.48 = $0.96
