What age are the children?
I'm sure you'll want to emphasize the food pyramid.

You could have parents bring in foods from each group, mostly fruits and vegetables, and eat them in class. One of the favorites for young children is "ants on a log." Spread peanut butter (I prefer natural peanut butter) on celery sticks and stick a few raisins in the peanut butter.
Perhaps you could have the children draw pictures of their favorite food from each group.
