x+4 - 2x = x+2 - 24
-2x = -26
x = 13
the three number are 13 , 15 , and 17
check:
difference between 2x and x+4 is
x+4 - 2x
= 4-x = 4-13 = -9
but this is supposed to be x+2 - 24
= 13+2-24 = -9
my answer is correct
