Madison is making a vinaigrette for her catering service using olive oil that costs forty cent per ounce and apple cider vinegar that costs twenty-five cents an ounce.The ideal batch of vinaigrette has 25% vinegar.If she has already combined 3 cups of vinegar and 1 cup of oil,how many cups of oil should she add? What is the total cost of her completed recipe?

Cross multiply and solve for x.

0.25/1 = 3/x

0.25x = 3

x = 12

12 - 1 = 11

Vinegar: 3 cups = 24 oz.
24 * 0.25 = $6.

Oil: 12 cups = 96 oz.
96 * 0.45 = $43.20

43.2 + 6 = ?
