Question

Consider an RC series CKT with V in series with RC.

V=7 V, R=15 Ohm, C=0.0025 Farad.

At t=0 we start charging the capacitor with no charge initially on the capacitor.

(a) Calculate the time t∗ (in seconds) when the potential across the capacitor is V/2.

(b) How much energy (in Joules) has the power supply generated between t=0 and the time when the potential across the capacitor reaches V/2?
