Can you convert density to moles?
I am given the density of a substance [0.789 g/mL] but I need to know the number of moles for the equation.

You cannot convert density to moles, unless you also know the volume and the molecular formula.

(density) * Volume = mass = (# of moles)* (molecular weight)
