First, do 1- 1/2= 1/2. Then do 1/3 x 1/2= 1/6. 1/6 = amount the art teacher gives to group A. Then do 1/2 - 1/6 = 1/3 (This will get you the remaining markers to solve for group B) Then do 1/3 / 8= 1/24
