Ricky is 5 years older than Sara. Three years ago he was twice her age. How old is Ricky? Thanks for the help!

r=s+5
r-3 = 2(s-3)

(r,s)=(13,8)

Sara x x - 3

ricky x + 5 (x+5)-3

so (x+5-3)= 2*(x-3)
x+2=2x-6
x=8
