Thanks! But how did you get that..?
Answered by Knights
darjeeling tea to the ratio of the entire blend is 5 (in the ratio it is given) / 9 (sum of both teas) = 5/9

so, 5/9 * 90 ounces = 50 ounces

thus the answer is 50 ounces. sorry for being unclear
Answered by Ms. Sue
He might have gotten it by using a proportion.

5/9 = x/90

9x = 450

x = 50

You're fine. I also need help on a couple others.
A survey of 500 people found that 1 lout of 20 had at least one bird as a pet. How many people who were surveyed owned at least one bird?
Answered by Jessica
1* out of* 20

so just like Ms. Sue said, you can you use a proportion. 1/20 would be the people owning at least one bird. So, 1/20 * 500 = 25. We get 25 people who were surveyed and owned at least one bird. Next time just post another question I guess :D

Was this a smart remark? "Next time just post another question I guess :D" If so, I'm not really in the mood.. but if you meant it I do have another question........
Answered by Knights
Uh...I meant like post another entire question, not like a whole chain of them.

I think he meant to click Post a New Question. That way everyone is alerted that it is a new question, not just a continuation of a previous question.

I agree with Ms. Sue.
