a recipe call for 8/9 of a cup of granola. you only want to make 1/9 of the recipe. How much granola do you need?

1/9 * 8/9 = 8/81

On a practical basis -- I have no idea how to measure this exactly. But 8/81 is about 1/10 -- so I'd use a little less than 1/8 cup. With granola, it won't make much difference, anyway.
