Which of the following could NOT represent the intersection of a plane and a triangular prism?
A. a triangular prism
B.a triangle
C. a rectangle
D. a point
I had D, a point because if you cut a triangle in half you can not get a point out of it.
If this is wrong can you explain what is correct.
Thanks

The intersection of a plane and a solid is a plane figure. So, (A) is not possible.

If the plane intersects the prism at a vertex, the intersection is just a point.
