What you would first do is multiply:
7x7x7x7x7x7, which would equal 117,649.
7x7x7x7x7x7x7 would equal 823,543. 117,649/823,543 would finally equal 0.14285714285

I think there's an easier way to do this, 7^6/7^7 would be equals to 7^-1. According to the Law of Exponents powers with a same base number in division is simply subtracted.
