Which elements of a story can help you predict early on what a story will be about? (Choose all that apply.)
A.the author’s name
B.the title
C.the tone of the first paragraph
D.illustrations and captions
I definitely think it is B and D...A is questionable even though the authors name is indian and C - I think it is included but I amnot positive...?

I'd include B, C, and D ... and keep in mind that not all books have D!!

I think it's B, C, and D.
In this case, A gives you a clue -- but that is unusual.
I'm reading a book by Ruth Rendell -- which certainly does not give any hint about what the book is about.
