Question
I am studying labor unions in my Econ class and would like to ask a member a few questions:)
Which labor union do you belong to? How long have you been a member? What do you see as the advantages of belonging to a union? What are the disadvantages?
Thanks!

Ms. Sue
I was a member of the National Education Association, which functions as a union.
I was a member for about 32 years until I retired from teaching several years ago.
The NEA negotiated our contracts which included salaries and benefits. It defends teachers who are unfairly and unjustly accused and threatened with dismissal.
I know of no disadvantages of membership in the NEA.
