just add them up - they total 540°

hmmm. assuming no typos, then the angles appear to be some in degrees and some in minutes. in that case,

(3x+5) + (x+16)/60 + (2x+9)/60 + (3x-8) + (4x-15) = 540
x = 55.481 - that's °
plug in to figure the angles.
