How do blood O2 levels, CO2 levels and PH effect ventilation? Where are the receptors that monitor
blood gases located and what do these receptors actually respond to? What blood gas is most closely
monitored by the body? Given what you know about blood gases, please explain why a person would
feel light headed, and possibly even loose consciousness after a period of hyperventilation.
