                Stupid question time. I need to figure out how to rearrange equations to solve for x in my chemistry homework, which involves putting equations in quadratic form first. But I can't for the life of me remember how to "rearrange" them correctly.
So what in the step by step way to do this with the example such as:
1.9 = (2.0-x)/(x)(x)

    1.9 = (2.0 -x)/x^2
Multiply both sides by x^2
1.9x^2 = 2.0 - x
Add the opposite to both sides so that you have 0 on one side.
1.9x^2 + x - 2.0 = 0
Now, you can use the quadratic to solve for x.
Quadratic: -b +/- the square root of (b^2 - 4ac) all over 2a.
