Erica painted a picture of her dog. The picture has an area of 3,600 cm2 and is square. She has placed the picture in a frame that is 5 cm wide. What is the perimeter of the picture frame? Is the correct answer 260 cm2?

The answer is 10 5x5 is 10cm2 here...

P=5+5
P=10cm2 :D

Is this correct, I guess my son was trying to figure the answer by adding it to the perimeter of the picture.

The answer is 280cm2, ill explain why...
the picture's length is 60cm. The frame is 5 cm wide so u have to add five centimeters to the left and to the right which equals ten centimeters. 60+10=70cm. now you have to multiply four to it which = 280cm2
