1 + n / 16 = 2 Subtract 1 to both sides

1 + n / 16 - 1 = 2 - 1

n / 16 = 1 Multiply both sides by 16

n * 16 / 16 = 1 * 16

n = 16

Proof:

1 + n / 16 = 2

1 + 16 / 16 = 2

1 + 1 = 2
