I want to know how can I solve for x if I am given 2.26= 1.000+x/ 1.000-x

Assuming the calculation is
2.26=(1.000+x)/(1.000-x)

Multiply both sides by (1.000-x)
which gives

2.26-2.26x=1.000+x
