The perimeter of the square is 2cm longer than the perimeter of the triangle.Write an equation for the perimeter of the square and then determine the length of each side of the square.

let P be the perimeter of the triangle, S be the perimeter of the square.

S-2=P
but 4*side=S
4side-2=P
side=(P+2)/4
