(x+3)/3 = (y+2)/2
x/3 + 1 = (y+2)/2
x/3 = (y+2)/2 - 1
= (y+2-2)/2
= y/2

good work

@Steve how did you get the 1?
Answered by music is life
I think because you divide the 3 on top by the three on the bottom and 3 divided by 3 is 1 but idk how you put the negative 1 in the parenthesis, can you actually do that?
Answered by S.
he got one because since the x has no value yet x would equal to 1

How did he get rid of x/3?

Guys nvm I can explain Steve in x+3/3 you basically have a x/3 and a 3/3 times eachother same as the y side but instead it’s 2/2 and y/2 and 2/2 and 3/3 are both 1 so you basically have x/3+1=y/2+1and you take the ones away and get x/3=y/2

x + 33 = y + 22
- 33 - 33
x = y - 11

x³ = (y - 11)³
x³ = (y - 11)(y - 11)(y - 11)
x³ = (y(y - 11) - 11(y - 11))(y - 11)
x³ = (y(y) - y(11) - 11(y) + 11(11))(y - 11)
x³ = (y² - 11y - 11y + 121)(y - 11)
x³ = (y² - 22y + 121)(y - 11)
x³ = y²(y - 11) - 22y(y - 11) + 121(y - 11)
x³ = y²(y) - y²(11) - 22y(y) + 22y(11) + 121(y) - 121(11)
x³ = y³ - 11y² - 22y² + 242y + 121y - 1331
x³ = y³ - 33y² + 363y - 1331
