Question

Write slope-intercept equation
Passing through the points (-6,-9) and (0,8)

I think it's this just making sure:
M=(8-(-9))/(0-(-6)) =17/6
Y= -17/6x+36/6
Y=-17/6x-6

(-6,-9), (0,8).

m = (8+9)/(0+6) = 17/6.
Y = mx + b
(17/6)*0 + b = 8
b = 8.

Y = (17/6)x + 8.
